Abstract

This paper examines the factors that impact the entrepreneurial intentions (EI) of university students based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as the future creators of ventures. By investigating the effect of personal attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control, the research highlights the ways in which these constructs influence students' tendency towards entrepreneurship. The results indicate the potential of university-based startup ecosystems, entrepreneurial education, and institutional engagement in developing an entrepreneurial mindset. The authors suggest these environments not only bolster individual intention but also play a significant role in venture creation, thereby enhancing innovation and economic development. The paper discusses implications for business strategy and policymaking in higher education, including the integration of entrepreneurial thinking in curricula and the design of supportive infrastructure to bridge intention and entrepreneurial action.
